Sabbih isma rabbika al-aAAla …. سَبِّـحِ اسْمَ رَبِّـكَ الأعْـلى…[Al-aAAla]

Qul ya ayyuha alkafiroon ….. قُـلْ يا أَيُّـها الكـافِرون…. [Al-kafiroon]

Qul huwa Allahu ahad ….. قُـل هُوَ اللهُ أحد….. [Al-ikhlas]

…after giving salam he would supplicate three times:

سُـبْحانَ المَلِكِ القُدّوس (ثلاث مرات)

Subhanal-malikil-quddoos.(three times).

‘How perfect The King, The Holy One is.’ (three times)

…on the third time he would raise his voice, elongate it and add:

Rabbil-mala-ikati warrooh. ربِّ الملائكةِ والرّوح

‘Lord of the angels and the Rooh (i.e. Jibra-eel).
